Before I was a mom, I was a traveler. I taught English in South Korea and carried pieces of Asia in my heart for years. I danced on beaches in Mexico and explored countries in northeastern Africa. But it was a trip to The Gambia that rooted me. It gave me a profound sense of belonging in the world. I cherish it, especially as I raise Black children who need to know they belong everywhere.

I studied sociology in undergrad and later pursued a master's in seminary with a focus on individual, marriage, and family counseling- work I may return to one day. For now, my work happens in the pews and the pick-up lines.
I'm married to the funniest and most intelligent man I know, Marque! We have 3 blessings that we call an inheritance from the Lord and we also call them headaches from time to time! I direct the youth ministry at my church, where I've had the joy of launching and leading our children's church for over three years. That experience inspired Sunday Funday, which I now share with other families. Through Mothering on the Margins, I write books, design guides, and build resources for families like yours. Sunday Funday activity books help little ones stay engaged in faith. My holiday guides help families celebrate with intention. And everything I make comes from a place of lived experience and genuine love! Check back soon for more website updates!

Many Blessings!
